Week 1 · UNLEARN
Put Down the Catalogue
You're not a walking advert. You're a person.
Unlearn the affiliate habits that turn a profile into a shop window. Meet the Moonbeam Method. Start building confidence the only way it actually grows — by doing the next small brave thing.
You will
- See why product-first profiles quietly fail, even when they look busy
- Learn FIND → ADD → CONNECT as a way of being online, not a slogan
- Separate Maggie's personality from yours — on purpose
- Start the Confidence Ladder at the rung you can actually stand on
- Measure this week by conversations and courage, not likes
Lessons
- 1.1 · 18 minWhy you're here (and what this isn't)Get the ground under your feet: this is a relationship practice that happens to include selling, not a content factory with a spiritual filter.
- 1.2 · 22 minPeople first. Products second.Understand, in your bones, why a product-shaped profile quietly fails — and what people are actually coming to social media for.
- 1.3 · 24 minFIND → ADD → CONNECTLearn the three-step method as a way of moving through the internet, not as a slogan to put on a graphic.
- 1.4 · 16 minYou're not Maggie. That's the point.Separate the founder from the Moonbeam so you can stop impersonating a personality that's already taken.
- 1.5 · 20 minHow confidence actually growsStop waiting to feel ready. Confidence comes from kept promises to yourself, not from a mood that arrives before you do the thing.
- 1.6 · 26 minThe Confidence LadderMeet the eight rungs, find the one that's actually under your feet, and take today's challenge there — not at the top.
- 1.7 · 16 minHow we measure this (it isn't followers)Build a scoreboard that can't be gamed by empty posting, so you know whether you're actually becoming someone people can find.
Weekly challenge
The Honest Profile Walk
Look at your own social media the way a stranger would. Then change one thing so a human would actually want to stay.
- 1Open your profile and screenshot the first screen. No editing it first. This is the before.
- 2Count how many of the last nine posts are product, sale, or 'link in bio'. Write the number in the workbook.
- 3Write one sentence a stranger would use to describe you from that grid. If the sentence is 'someone who sells things', that's useful information, not a failure.
- 4Leave one comment today on someone else's post that could only have come from you. No emoji dump. No 'love this'. A real sentence.
- 5Don't post a product today. If your fingers itch, that itch is the catalogue talking. Notice it.
Workbook for this week
- Who I am, actuallyIf you can't name yourself without the affiliate costume on, nobody else can find you either. This page is FIND starting at the source — you.
- The honest profile walkA stranger already has an opinion of you. This is you catching up with it.
- Catalogue countYou can't change a pattern you won't count. This isn't a telling-off. It's a before photo.
- Confidence baselineIf you lie about which rung you're on, the ladder becomes another shame machine. Tell the truth. We can work with the truth.

Reflection
If this week goes sideways
I already know this. I've been doing affiliate work for years.
Then this week isn't information. It's a mirror. Do the profile walk anyway. People who 'already know' are often the ones with the most product-shaped feed and the least conversation. Knowing isn't the same as practising.
If I stop posting products, I will earn nothing.
You might already be earning nothing with a catalogue. A pause isn't a forever ban. It's a week of letting people meet you. Products come back in Weeks 4 and 5 — as part of a story, not instead of one.
I don't want people I know seeing me try.
That's one of the most common Moonbeam fears and it isn't silly. You can start in a smaller space, a close-friends list, or a platform your aunt doesn't use. Hiding forever is also a choice. We won't romanticise it.
