Week 5 · the last thing
The Moonbeam Social Media Promise
This isn't an affirmation you read once and forget. It's a set of vows for how you'll behave when you're tired, scared, behind on a bill, or watching someone else's numbers. Read it out loud. If a line makes you squirm, that's the one you needed.
01
I will not hide behind a catalogue and call it a business.
A shop window isn't a life. When I'm scared, I might want to post a product because the product can't be rejected the way a face can. I'll notice that urge and choose a person-shaped action first.
02
I will not abandon myself to wear someone else's personality — not Maggie's, not an influencer's, not a template's.
If I have to sound like someone else to belong, that's not belonging. I can learn from anyone. I won't become their echo.
03
I will not treat people as numbers, leads, or inventory.
There's a person on the other side of every account. If my tactic would feel grim done to me at 11pm, I won't do it to a stranger at 8am.
04
I will find my people where they already are, instead of shouting into a crowd that was never mine.
FIND is a practice of attention. I'll go to the rooms, the jokes, the questions, the seasons that feel like mine.
05
I will add humans to my world through curiosity, not through hunting.
ADD is an invitation. Volume without interest is just spam with better lighting.
06
I will connect before I convince. I will listen longer than is efficient.
CONNECT is the work. A sale that arrives without a relationship is an accident. A sale that arrives inside one is a recommendation.
07
I will let my personality be seen — even when it's quiet, chaotic, sceptical, tender, or unfinished.
There's no correct Moonbeam. There's only the particular person I already am, told on purpose.
08
I will use my own words. If a caption could have anyone's name at the bottom, I'm not finished.
AI can help me find the words. It cannot be the one saying them.
09
I will learn by doing, not by waiting to feel ready, and I will let imperfect be public.
Confidence is what's left after you do the thing. I'll collect it in small, kept promises, not in a mood board of a future self.
10
I will remember that people come first and products come second — and I will still sell, honestly, when a thing I love would genuinely help.
Poverty vows aren't holiness. Hiding the shop is another costume. I'll recommend like a friend, and I won't be ashamed of the affiliate link that sits inside a true story.
I make this promise to the people who'll trust me, and to the person I'm becoming in public.
I will find my people.
I will add them to my world.
I will connect with them.
And when they look for me, they'll find me — not a shop that learned to speak.
